Dear Parents and Students,

Following my earlier email to you this morning, I confirm the cancellation of Cambridge IGCSE exams for the May/June 2020 series. Cambridge International sent a circular to Asia Pacific International School today. Cambridge have commented that all grades and certificates will be given to candidates at the end of the course.  They will work with schools to assess students’ achievements to support their next steps into A Levels and University courses. There will be further announcements from Cambridge International on Thursday 26th March 2020 (UK time). This information may not reach Malaysia until Friday.

I understand that this is a difficult and uncertain time, especially after you have worked so hard to prepare for the exams.  I will reiterate that grades and certificates will be produced, exactly how has yet to be communicated by Cambridge.  Please continue attending your online lessons, as completing the syllabus and school assessments may form part of this process. Please try to remain calm, we will make sure your hard work is rewarded.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, we will communicate more when we receive further clarification from Cambridge International.
