Year 5 Exploring 4 Different Places of Worship

Wednesday 26 April 2017

Year 5 Students had a wonderful day, exploring the different faiths of people in KL by exploring 4 different places of worship. As an International School, it is so important to 'Nurture Global Minds' by exploring the ideas of people different from ourselves. Today we explored the beliefs of Muslims, Hindus, Taoist, and Christians by visiting the National Mosque, St Mary's Cathedral, Kuan Ti Temple, and The Sri Mahamariamman Temple. The students asked many questions as we explored the places, as they learned about new beliefs and were able to share their own religion with their classmates. It was inspiring to see the students learn from each other, and gain a greater understanding of the country in which they live.  Thank you to all the Places of Worship for being so welcoming, and to all the students for their keen and inquisitive approach to the day.
